The Story of Mimi's Pastry

I, Mayumi Nagata aka Mimi, started Mimi’s Pastry to offer high quality made-to-order cakes available both for online ordering or at local fresh produce markets. I have travelled and lived in several countries to train my palate and skills. On my journey, I have worked in restaurants, pastry shops and culinary schools in Japan, France, Singapore and Australia with many passionate chefs.

I started my independent chef activity a few years ago, creating cakes made to order for special occasions, as well as offering a monthly special cake only available for a limited amount of time.

Throughout my career, I have been advising friends working in the hospitality industry. I realised that business owners don't necessarily have all the food industry background and skills to elaborate their menu offering. This is why I decided to launch my consulting activity, to help them grow quality and profitable businesses.

Today I split my time between creating beautiful cakes, being a cooking teacher and helping food business owners.

I specialise in French pastry twisted with an essence of Japan, my country of origin. Every month, I handpick and adapt one classic French whole cake from my range of classic French pastry. I use local and seasonal ingredients and always incorporate a lot of love into my creations.

I only accept a limited number of orders each month so make sure to get your order in fast. Smiles guaranteed with every order!
